We’ve simplified the process of importing full catalogs to your Shopify store. Drag and drop importing with DDEX XML files is designed to ease the burden of large catalogs reduced development needs. This feature can be best utilized by artists/labels that need to upload a large digital catalog without going through each release one at a time — however, anyone can use it if you have your catalog in DDEX format.
What you'll need...
A catalog formatted for DDEX ingestion (most likely provided by your distributor) - including a ZIP file containing the DDEX message .xml file and resource file (album artwork, lossless (WAV or FLAC) audio files). The DDEX file contains all of the information needed for the release and tells the system how to use it, where to put it, and how to organize the files.
